Default Bought a game which was empty inside..

Well.. I got a psp, Final Fantasy Dissidia was released yesterday, we (friends and me) decided to buy the game and play together from times to times like we do with Monster Hunter.
So, my friend bought two games (for me and for him too) at Target, because I was not there. After that, he opened his box and played it then he called me to retrieve mine.
When I arrived, I opened my dissidia box and it was empty !
There was the plastic cover thing on the game box before I open, so my friend couldn't steal the game and he bought one for him too so... the game box was empty inside without the game.
We were astonished, so we went to Target and explain the thing at the refund service.
The guy didn't seem to believe it.. and I understand, it is sound to be impossible .
Then, he made a call to someone (don't know who) for my mysterious empty game, and he said that they will give me an another Dissidia game for free! I was pleased and relieved!
But wait... another Target Staff guy came at the refund reception with the game and the plastic cover too (a new one), he oppened it in front of us and it was empty too!
I think at this moment, they believed me.. so my friend and me followed him to get my dissidia back.
He oppened an another game box and was empty too, the third box was the good one.

I just want to warn you to open your box and check your game just after you bought it..
Imagine you buy GW2 without the activation key inside.

EDIT : the game is really good! A good beat them all game for final fantasy fan.

Epic fail on their part though, their customer support employees must be overwhelmed with pissed off customers

That happened to me when I first got my PsP with Wipeout Pure. They said they would be able to find the people resealing and returning the games, which was nice to hear. Didn't take long for them to apologize and just give me another copy, which was all I wanted. <3

Whoo.

Good thing the second box was there to prove to them that the situation did exist.

(I rather imagine there are a lot of pissed off customers, though.)

When I bought a copy of the LOTR Extended Trilogy boxset on release, everything was inside it except for one of the films manual / leaflet thing. Since it cost £60, I werent having this and took it back, and they swapped it with no questions asked, just asking me to fill in a return form saying why I were returning with my name and address and a signed declaration =D.

I would assume it is more believable when all the CD's are still in the box, and just a manual is missing. I've never had a CD missing fortunately, and buy everything online now.

Buying EOTN made me FEEL empty inside, is that the same thing?

Most recent game I bought the teller actually asked us to open the case as soon as possible to make sure the disk was actually inside. Apparently this has been happening to a number of people.

I hate EB Games, all they have now is 1 shelf of PC Games, and half of it is WoW and WC3. They're still the best store that I know for PC Games sadly.

If someone returns a game, all you need to do is open it to make sure the game is still inside and then reseal and resell.

I began to like EB games ever since they messed up my EoTN preorder and their systems still said I had a $50 deposit even after I had collected the game.
